In 2013, Betty joined Good Housekeeping as an editorial assistant and was soon promoted to senior editor and product analyst for the Good Housekeeping Institute. Here, Betty tested kitchen gadgets wanting the infamous Good Housekeeping Seal of approval and wrote about cooking, food, and gifts for the website and print edition, including feature stories.   After five years at Good Housekeeping, she joined Real Simple as its senior digital food editor and oversaw all food- and nutrition-related content on the magazine’s website.
